We consider digital immersion a core part of any PR person’s job and are delighted that nearly 100% of our staff is active in multiple social networks, with several maintaining personal blogs and many contributing to the official DeVries blog and Twitter account. Our relationships within the blogosphere span many categories – including parenting, beauty, fashion and food – and social media programming is built into virtually every client plan we recommend.

Event management is a core strength at DeVries. We’ve produced events of all shapes and sizes – from product launches and sampling events to publicity stunts and celebrity appearances. We’re equally at home staging a massive holiday caroling party for Old Navy outside the Good Morning America studio, washing clothes for disaster victims in towns across the country the Tide Loads of Hope program or challenging bloggers to a mixology contest at a Manhattan speakeasy for New Amsterdam Gin.

DeVries has been instrumental in a number of high profile cause campaigns – most of which began life as PR concepts and grew into fully integrated marketing programs. Our in-house research team is skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies including proprietary modeling and measurement tools. - Crisis Communications
Although consumer brand PR is our focus, we have broad experience managing issues for clients as they inevitably occur from time to time. Our capabilities include readiness plan creation, message development, spokesperson training, conversation monitoring and website design (including “dark sites” to be activated only in the event of a crisis.)
- Custom Influencer Panels/Focus Groups
DeVries pioneered the use of the influencer panel nearly 30 years ago to identify emerging consumer and media trends on behalf of our clients. Fast-forward to today: technology allows us to create real-time dialogue with groups of relevant movers and shakers of anywhere from 10 to 1,000 participants to generate actionable client insights.
- Sponsorship Evaluation & Execution
We’ve been key partners in identifying, negotiating and activating major sponsorship deals for our clients. DeVries helped put Sephora in the spotlight at the Sundance Film Festival, got Old Navy fleece into the backseats of yellow cabs through an NYC Taxi Commission partnership, created sizzle for Tide at Superbowl XLIV and is leading the PR charge for the P&G corporate sponsorships of Team USA and the Special Olympics.

We offer full creative and technical support in the creation of original content for our clients’ promotional video needs. This includes editing of existing footage, creation of highlight reels, web video production, motion graphics, voice-overs, interviews and event coverage, providing quick turnaround around for both long- and short-term projects.
